Michael Flisk, a 46-year-old Chicago police officer was shot and killed while responding to a burglary call in Chicago’s South Side. Flisk, a cop with the CPD for 20-years, is the second cop killing in a week in the city. He leaves behind four children and a wife.

“The thought that someone can shoot and kill a police officer is simply unacceptable, and we will find those responsible,” says Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis. “We will squeeze that neighborhood, and we will find who did this.”

Weis goes on: “It just shows how some people have absolutely no respect for human life. We have an evidence technician processing the scene of a burglary, and he’s killed. That should not happen.”

Early last week, 45-year-old David Blake, a member of Chicago’s SWAT team, “was found dead in his sport utility vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Blake was a 15-year police veteran and had received dozens of departmental awards. His death was ruled a homicide, and Weis has asked for the public’s help in finding the shooter,” according to Fox News.
